Having some resentment towards Winter

Melancholy finds me at the end of every August. As the leaves start to turn and the grass starts to pale, I feel so close to my old friend who passed in 2019. Some of you knew him personally, others through story, and some not at all. I am so grateful to have known him for my first 18 years. The time that has passed since then has changed me, but I’m sure his spirit has grown in some ways too.
